What a sad and beautiful scene!

(It slightly reminded me of the scene from The Dae Jang-kum, where the king drops a tear, facing his days falling short. But I won't deny that Iesada's last moment seems to have been arranged in much more sophisticated ways, especially by making Atsuhime's tear to respond to that of Iesada even though she is not aware of his death.)

A report found through sina.com. It is about the premier of The Climbers High. Though there isn't much about Sakai san in the text, I am just happy to see the photo that presents him nicely. ^^

사카이씨의 이에사다가 아츠히메를 떠날 날이 며칠 남지 않았다. After School, Climbers High, Two Men in Jersey 등 올 여름 사카이씨 영화가 풍성하지만 가서 볼 수도 없고. 아츠히메 마지막 촬영은 벌써 한참 전이었으니, 지금은 영화 캠페인으로 바쁘신가... 앞으로 어디에서 어떻게 볼 수 있을 지 궁금하다. 나라면 한동안 휴식부터 취하겠지만. 아츠히메 공식웹사이트에 사카이씨 인터뷰가 떴다. 자신의 이에사다 역할에 어느정도 만족하시는 분위기... 저도 만족합니다. : -) 덕분에 즐겁고 행복했어요. 이번 주말 사카이씨의 이에사다를 기리며 내 나름의 송가를 준비해 볼까.

앞으로 아츠히메가 어떻게 전개될 지는 역사가 말해주고 있으니... 조금 걱정. 사이고씨 살살 하세요. 메이지유신이 결국 일본국 군국주의로 나가게 되는 결말 직전 쯤에 마무리되려나. 한 나라의 내부 문제를 전쟁을 통해 밖으로 풀려 했던 인간의 지리멸렬한 역사. 19세기, 20세기를 넘어서 21세기에서조차도 뼈가 저리고 피가 튈 정도로 목격하고 있지 않은가. Disgusting! 난 어릴 때 2000년이 되면 내가 달나라에 가서 콩나물을 키우고 있을 줄 알았다. 그리고 과학의 발달에 힘입어 인류가 스타트랙에 나오는 어떤 외계 존재들처럼 더이상 물질적인 한계에 구애받지 않고 평화롭게 공존하는 문명의 존재로 업그레이드되어 있을 줄 알았다. 웬걸, 사람의 엠브리오를 조작해 맟춤형 자식도 낳는 판에 지구상엔 여전히 굶주리는 사람이 수두룩하고 말같지도 않은 전쟁을 벌건 대낮에 저지르면서 별별 핑계는 다대고 있다. 저기 저애가 조금 있으면 나를 때릴지도 모르니 내가 먼저 가서 한대 쥐어패고 오겠다는데도다들 그러려니 한다. 업그레이드된 존재는 관두고 양심조차도 불량이다. 하루 세끼 못먹어 죽는 것도 아니고 입을 거 없어 벗고 다니는 것도 아니면서 눈만 뜨면 경제, 경제.... 짐바브웨에서 대통령 선거를 한지가 언제인데 선거결과는 발표도 안하고 야당지지자들을 개쫒듯 잡아들여 찔러도 죽이고 불에도 태워 죽인다. 한국에서는 요즘 검찰이 조중동 광고 거부 압력을 넣는 시민들을 수사하겠다고 나섰다는데 이게 도대체 21세기인가? 자신들이 수호하는 게 민주주의인지 자본주의인지도 분간을 못하는 찌질함은 관두고, 자기들이 그리도 신봉한다는자본주의에서 소비자들이 자신의 의견을 표현할 수 있는 가장 흔한 방법인 소비자권리의 행사에 무슨 형사법상의 문제가 있다는 말인가. 기업들이 소송을 낸 것도 아니니 민법에 같다 붙일 것도 아니면서...

얘기가 샜다. 한참 새긴 했지만 19세기말엽의 시대극을 보고 있노라면 언제나 착찹해진다. 오늘날의 모순들의 단초들이 고스란히 담겨있으니. (사카이씨 얘기가 새서 미안요.) 그 모든 걸 살짝 모른 척하면서 사카이씨의 이에사다와 미야자키씨의 아츠히메가 펼쳐나가는 아름다운 얘기에 정신이 팔려있었는데, 이제 이번주말이면 신데렐라의 시계가 뎅뎅뎅... 12번 울리겠구나.

Iesada's death

Have just learnt that Iesada dies during the episode 28 of Atsuhime. Atsuhime wouldn't even be informed in time of Iesada's falling down. Shame that we are only a few episodes away until the last minute with Sakai san as Iesada. Miyazaki Aoi and he have been making such a great pair in that drama...

Just to wait to see Sakai san in his new films.

なんかおもしろいじゃないか、これ？堺さんののどにわちょっとわるそうな気がするんですが。

Quite fun actually. I have to worry for his voice whenever Sakai san shouts, though. It is of great pleasure to watch another side of the actor. The show seems to lie in the tradition of Japanese sitting comedy (I forgot what you call it). The character of the male secretary who always stands anxious behind the curtain, saying "It is because of Ikemen." seems so familar. Perhas I have seen something similar in a Japanese cartoon.

Anyway, a clever show advertising plus entertaining.

戦闘妖精雪風。美しい、堺さんの声。声優としての演技も素晴らしい！

Sakai san can make his voice this beautiful! And marvellous voice acting which looks truely professional. Just one thing that bothers me... The title Yuki Kaze keeps reminding me of Kami Kaze invented during the World War II. Hope the ghost of imperialist war machinery as such will not haunt any of us any more. I was very happy when Sakai san as Iesada in Atsuhime said: "I don't like things about fighting. Not interested in a win-and-loose game." Bravo, sakai san. That is exactly why I wasn't interested in playing Go when I was a little kid. I used to play Itsutsu (Korean people call it omok), instead.

A war craft can never be a fairy in this real world. Perhaps, that is why Fukai played by Sakai sang looks a cynic.

Hahaha.... I cannot help but laughing whenever I see this clip. Not only I but also somebody else did seem to find something special about his feet. While watching the scene from The Atsuhime (2008 NHK Taiga drama), I was surprised to learn that just a man's elegant feet can also be appealing. すみません、堺さん。

I am so excited about this film and just can't wait until the film goes released in July. Sakai sang seems to have gone back to his twenties, looking much younger. He surely looks younger than me. --;

Yamanami Keisuke commits seppuku in the Episode 33 of the 2004 NHK Taiga drama "Shinsengumi."

I couldn't be tempted in any case to highlight this kind of event if Sakai sang's acting had failed to make the scene such a sublime piece. Irresistible! (He looks even sexy… ^^)

After all, he is one of the several samurai guys in Japan’s history to have conducted real, fully-termed seppuku. Believe or not!

In memory of Zhang Guolong (Leslie Cheung)

After I succeeded to have my early retirement (?) recently I have made a list of what I may want to do before I become 40. One of the very few items on the list is about having blogs for something I can enjoy. The moment when I saw Zhang Guolong’s photo on a newspaper sold at a shabby newsstand around a corner of Beijing has ever been engraved in my mind. It was 1 April 2003 as known... just like that. I was stuck before him smiling inside a photo frame surrounded by beautiful white Jasmine. I still regret that I had never tried hard to squeeze out time and fly to Hong Kong to see him sing on the stage before he left us, but too late.

Now time for praxis though history repeats itself! Hope I won’t be too lazy again and will have my job done well for this blog while Sakai sang shines and breathes with us.
